These dwarf peaches are suitable for patio gardens and small spaces. Available in 5 # clay-looking containers. Bonanza Genetic Dwarf Peach -- Yellow fleshed freestone fruit. Yellow skin with a vibrant red blush. Mature height 5-6'. Appropriate for patio gardening. Beautiful ornamental type fruiting tree. Bonfire Genetic Dwarf Peach -- Beautiful flowering, dwarf, ornamental peach. Long dark red leaves throughout spring and summer. Very striking double pink flowers emerge in springtime. Very attractive genetic dwarf. SEMI-DWARF VARIETIES:
APPLE: Most apple varieties will pollinate with other varieties. Golden Delicious - A very popular commercial variety. Golden Delicious is an early bearing, heavy producing apple. It is very sweet and has a juicy white flesh. Great storage life and is an ideal pollinator for Red Delicious and other apple varieties. Self-pollinating. Zones 5-9. Granny Smith -- This green cooking apple originated in Australia. It is known for its tart, crisp and juicy flavor. Granny Smith is a very large, round fruit with outstanding shelf life. Needs a pollinator. Ripens late fall. Zones 5-8. Gala -- Very high quality apple that has become a staple among apple varieties. The yellow white flesh is crisp and juicy like Golden Delicious. It bears a sweet flavor with a smooth orange-red color with some background striping. Needs a pollinator. Zones 5-8. Fuji -- This very popular Japanese apple features high color, pinkish-red skin and outstanding striping. It has very sweet flesh and a firm, crisp texture. The fruit is large and has excellent quality. Ripens in late season. Needs a pollinator. Zones 5-8. Red Delicious -- Red striped to solid red fruit with it's classic heart like shape. Red Delicious is a very crisp and delicious tasting apple. Stores very well. Fast growing. Needs a pollinator. Ripens late fall. Zones 5-8. McIntosh -- Old fashioned favorite - a cold hardy native from Canada. A good cooking apple. This variety gives applesauce and cider a spicy kick. Needs a pollinator. Zones 4-8. Jonathan -- Glossy, bright, red skin and snappy crisp flesh. Dessert apple that keeps well for cooking. Great in pies and for making cider. Self-pollinating and a vigorous grower. Good hardiness, dependable cropping and disease resistant. Ripens mid to late fall. Johnny Appleseed -- The last known, surviving tree John Chapman, the American folk hero planted was traced to Nova, Ohio in 1994. This variety comes from this tree. Tart, green apple ripens in late Sept. in zone 5. Great for baking, applesauce and fresh eating is is very similar to an Albemarle Pippen. Pollinates with other apple trees except Winesaps, Mutsu or Jonagold.
Elberta Peach -- Very old, dependable yellow fleshed freestone peach. Extremely juicy with a delicious flavor. Good for eating, cooking and freezing. Self-pollinating. Zones 5-9. Belle of Georgia -- Another old American staple in the peach industry. This aromatic, juicy, white fleshed freestone has remained a favorite among avid peach eaters. Very good peach to have in your yard. Self-pollinating. Zones 5-8.
PLUM: Santa Rosa Plum -- Japanese-type plum. Large, round crimson colored fruit with amber flesh. Vigorous tree, very productive. Very good eating plum. Self-pollinating, or increase crop by pollinating with Burbank. Zones 5-9. Burbank Plum -- Japanese-type plum. Big firm, sweet tasting crimson colored fruit. Plums are semi-freestone, which means they partially separate from the pit. Pollinate with Santa Rosa.
Montmorency is the most common sour cherry. Bright red fruit is great for cooking, freezing and preserving. Ripens in early summer. Self-pollinating. Stella is the sweet cherry favorite with black heart-shaped juicy sweet fruit. This vigorous and hardy tree bears abundantly. Ripens in early summer. Self-pollinating.
PEAR: Moonglow Pear -- Disease resistant Bartlett type pear. Moonglow's fruit has a soft red blush that is great for eating and canning. Peak flavor is obtained when it's fruit is yellow-green, then store in a cool place for about 1 week. Moonglow is a good pollinator for other pear varieties. Zones 5-8. Ayers Pear -- A very sweet pear with a medium red blush. Cross pollinate with Moonglow or most other pear varieties. Zones 5-8. (Pyrus serotina) Bear fruit that looks much like apples, with gusseted skin that varies from pale green to yellow-brown. The flesh is crisp and juicy, tasting sweet and mild. Upright pear trees can grow 15-25 with a similar spread. Our varieties have the best fruit quality, keep for months in refrigeration, and will cross-pollinate one another. Zones 6-9.20th Century-Best known variety. Fruit is green to greenish yellow, smooth with some lenticels (small spots). Fruit size is medium (9-14 oz.). Flesh is white, firm, crisp, very juicy and sweet with a refreshing tartness. Fruit quality is good to very good. Tree is of moderate vigor, upright and productive. Usually in full bloom mid March and harvests mid to late August in zone 7. Stores about 5 months. Recommended pollinator is Shinseiki, also, Chojuro and Hosui. Shinseiki (New Century)-Popular early season variety. Fruit is yellow-green to pale yellow, smooth with small lenticels. Fruit size is large. Flesh is white, sweet, firm, crisp and juicy. Tree is moderately vigorous, dense, very productive and precocious. Fruit quality is good to very good. Usually in full bloom mid March and harvests late July to mid-August in zone 7. Excellent storage life, about 7-8 months. Recommended pollinators are 20th Century and Hosui. Hosui-Excellent golden brown russeted variety. Excellent taste and eating qualities. Flesh is off-white, tender crisp, very juicy, very sweet. Size is medium to large. Tree is medium to large, very productive, weeping, and spreading. Usually in full bloom mid-March and harvests late July to mid-August. Stores about 3 months. Recommended pollinator is Chojuro. Chojuro-Brown russeted variety with strong flavor and good quality fruit. Medium size fruit with tough skin. Tree is medium to large, productive. Usually in full bloom mid to late March and harvests mid-September. Stores about 4-5 months. Recommended pollinator is Hosui or 20th Century.
